The 90-Day Online Income Launch: A Week-by-Week Plan That Actually Fits Part-Time
"Start an online income" is a shapeless task, which is why it stalls. This is a 13-week plan that assumes 10 hours/week and forces one decision every two weeks, so the stall points are pre-planned instead of accidental.
The structure
| Weeks | Track | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1-2 | Service setup | One working offer + one free first-client sample |
| 3-4 | First client | 1 paid client, 1 documented before/after |
| 5-6 | Site build | 10 articles live, keyword clusters mapped |
| 7-8 | Distribution | X / Reddit active, 2 referrals from client |
| 9-10 | Email + list | Lead magnet live, 100 subscribers |
| 11-12 | Second client + 10 more articles | 2 retainer clients, 20 articles live |
| 13 | Decision point | See below |
The day-90 decision
At week 13 you have data: how many service clients, how much the site is earning (or not), and how many subscribers. The decision is a single question — does the asset (site) now show compounding, or is it still flat? If it is compounding, shift hours from service to asset. If it is flat, stay in the service and extend the asset runway by two months. Either answer is a correct one; the error is letting the two tracks run at equal effort with no check-in.
What this plan assumes
It assumes you are running a service to fund an asset, per our niche site vs. service comparison. If you already own an audience, compress weeks 5-8 (distribution is your head start) and spend the saved time on the asset.
